It does look like a painting actually, as it is totally out of focus. It is a cool picture, but personaly I am annoyed by the "in-focus" stem. It automatically leads my eyes there. I imagine that it is pretty hard to achieve a good depth-of-field with a macro lens like yours. Nice try though!!!!

hmm i think i disagree with barbi on the depth of field with macro lens part. I think you take terrific macro pictures! I guess its harder to know what you are focussing on with a holga isnt it?

Its a great image, i think this result is even better than when the focus was more on the flower.

I will be diplomatic: i think everyone has her/his part of right with the in&out of focus issue. One thing is for sure: i like this shot, that’s why i decided to post it. :)
